On 5th & 6th December 2016, representatives of Nepalese people who use drugs (PUD) groups, organizations, thematic networks & coalitions from across the country gathered in Kathmandu with an aim to address the required unification among all PUD groups, organizations & networks/coalitions of Nepal.  This 2-days Unification Meeting was financially supported by International Network of People Who Use Drug (INPUD) in coordination of Asian Network of People Who Use Drug (ANPUD) for all necessary facilitation process, where Ms. Ruth Birgin represented INPUD and Mr. Bikash Gurung represented on-behalf of ANPUD.

Approximately 30 PUD participants/representatives from all over the country attended the meeting and tirelessly shared & discussed all issues re with unification process among all PUD community for whole 2 days. Finally at last, all PUD groups, organizations, coalitions & thematic networks came to a consensus & agreed to have Recovering Nepal (R.N) as 1 (One)national-level network of people who use drug in Nepal where all existing PUD thematic networks will have their representative/s directly on the board of R.N. Further process/procedures, structures, ToR etc. of/for national-level network of PUD are yet to be developed and finalized.

Overall, this 2-days unification meeting was very successful and achieved its’ objective.
